2010 Champions at the Boston Regional!

March 2011: At last, our robot is finished! Team 1768 at Nashoba Regional has finally completed the assembly of the robot, and is awaiting the 2011 FIRST Robotics Competition in Boston, MA. For the 6th season in a row, we will attend the regional robotics competition located at the Agannis Arena, in hopes of proceeding to the national level competition in St Louis, Missouri! All of these opportunities did not come easily though, mentors, and students alike spent long sleepless night working to complete the robot in time for the February 22nd ship date. This year's season first began when we received the specific of the 2010-2011 competition called "Logomotion". Basically, each alliance consisting of 3 teams competes to place inflatable inner tubes onto a rack to gain points. Also, in this year's game, each team must build a mini bot, which will climb up a pole on its own under the 10 second time constraint. After receiving an extreme amount of rules, brainstorming and design started, and soon the robot began to be assembled. Equipped with an eight wheel drive train, double articulating arm, claw and a mini bot with infrared pull sensing arrays our robot is ready for competition despite some minor upgrades.
